PARKA "the closet with a coat"
Parka, the coat closet is modular in design. This means that the construction as well as the aesthetics and appearance can be easily changed by swapping parts. For example, a sideboard can turn into a wall cabinet by adding modules and vice versa. The coat of the cabinet, made of wool felt, is removable and can be exchanged with "coats" of a different color. This gives the cabinet a different look without having to discard it. The magnetic fronts can also be changed in 20 seconds. The panels finished with material from waste streams made from flax with lavender are simply swapped for those made from pineapples, making the look and feel completely different with a simple operation. The circular furniture is constructed from innovative lightweight #greengridz furniture construction panels. This means 60% less material is used in production than traditional furniture made from solid furniture panels and 60% less CO2 is emitted. At the end of the furniture's life cycle, the #greengridz panels can be upcycled into activated carbon for water and air filters. So no waste!
#GREENGRIDZ is a circular furniture construction panel. The lightweight construction consists of a patented GRID system. This makes the panel super stiff, does not warp and is very strong.
Computer Numerical Control or CNC for short refers to the process of removing material with high-speed precision machines that use a wide range of cutting tools. These machines are used to process materials such as wood, plastics, stone, composites and metal to make circular office furniture.
Made by hand in the Netherlands. Innovative craftsmanship resting on years of experience and love for making furniture. With passion for the most sustainable and circular materials, raw materials are extracted from waste streams and shaped into high-profile interiors. Professional craftsmen skilled in working with wood, metal, plastic and textiles.
The press turns waste streams of plastics and natural fibers under high pressure and heat into sheets used to make circular furniture. The raw materials harvested from the plastic waste are old children's toys, soap bottles, CD cases, crates, lamps, garden furniture and household appliances. Natural fibers are harvested from old milk cartons, hemp, coffee grounds, old clothes, wood chips, paper and cardboard.
Refreshing is a form of recycling in which paper, cardboard and textiles are reduced to fibres. It is a mechanical process in which the discarded products are unravelled by machines. The fibres can be reused as building blocks to make circular products.
With healthy and circular furniture. Less material, less CO2 and less waste!
