Projects, inspiration sessions and events broaden horizons and forge creative connections between people. Social entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability are reflected in the design and decoration of the buildings, the collaborations that are entered into and the events that are organized.

With the expansion of a new location at Kromme Nieuwegracht 3 in Utrecht, a stone's throw from the Dom and a 15-minute walk from Utrecht CS, the Social Impact Factory and TRIBOO found the connection with each other. Circular design of the building, as a service, with less material, less CO2 and reusable raw materials.

Every year in Europe 11,000,000,000 kilos of furniture is thrown away, 90% of it is burned. To address this, you have to radically redesign the office and place the responsibility for the furniture on the person who makes it. The Social Impact Factory deliberately chose to pay for use and delved into the innovative production methods and design of circular products beforehand.

The first in the circular interior are the high-profile NeverEnding bar tables ROOTS and IVY. 3D printed bases made from 100% recyclate extracted from plastic waste streams. The raw material can be handed in to TRIBOO at the end of its lifespan and is shredded to reprint furniture using the same raw material.

In addition, 54 workstations and 12 tables will be equipped with #GREENGRIDZ desk and table tops using 1,062 kilograms less material and a CO2 footprint 60% lower than heavy solid tops traditionally used. At the end of their useful life, the tops are transformed through a pyrolysis process into high-quality carbon that is used as filling for water and air filters.      

At the circular workstations are PURE office chairs. 7.5 kilos less material and 70% fewer parts are used in production, than the standard solutions you see in any office. Per desk setup, a total of about 25 kilograms of material is no longer used. With the revolutionary integrated "Smart Spring" technology, the PURE automatically adapts to the user, their body and movements, without the need for complicated settings. The chair not only allows movements in all dimensions, but also ensures that you can work actively and productively anytime, anywhere.
