The material is upcycled from construction site waste and reused instead of thrown away. Many materials on construction sites are thrown away unused or single-use. This turns valuable materials into worthless waste on an epic scale. Every year we produce 60 million tons of waste together. 24% of this comes from the construction industry and is transported daily by road from warehouses to construction sites and from construction sites to waste processors. This causes enormous CO2 emissions. Only 4% is actually recycled.
