With the commissioning of 75 NoTrash circular waste separation stations, 1,125 kilograms of worthless waste have been turned into valuable circular products.
Office rental company Brivec has turned 1,125 kg of worthless waste into valuable circular products with the commissioning of 75 NoTrash circular waste separation stations. This is another step towards making their locations more sustainable.
The first four 100% circular NoTrash stations were delivered today at the head office of Brivec in Nunspeet. Arjen Westerbroek, project manager of BusinessCenter.nl and Cynthia Huiskens, employee real estate services at Brivec took them in hand.
Westerbroek: "We initially provided all our locations with an Energy A label. Although our office buildings do not have to have a C label until 1 January 2023, we want to take sustainable steps more quickly. For example, we have installed solar panels at a number of locations and LED lighting at all locations. We have noticed that our tenants, like us, are starting to attach more and more importance to sustainability."
In this way, Brivec wants to contribute to accelerating the circular economy and the waste-free society. Westerbroek: "When we heard of TRIBOO's NoTrash waste separation stations, we did not have to hesitate for long. We can also make a difference with circular materials. We are aware that with small adjustments and actions a lot can be achieved".
Westerbroek explains enthusiastically: "The NoTrash is made of 100% plastic waste that would otherwise end up in the incinerator. This inspired us to enter into cooperation with TRIBOO. Although waste separation is not required for the energy A-label, we thought: why not do it? And do it right with sustainable waste bins.
No new raw materials have been extracted from the earth, but what we have already extracted has been used. The products are made in the Netherlands so few kilometres have been driven to get to their destination. And that saves CO2 time and again.
Brivec sees this investment as a great way to make a circular contribution and inspire tenants and visitors to do the same.
