The circular workplace made with Dutch hands.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could buy products with a low carbon footprint that are made entirely domestically? Wouldn't it be nice if you could buy products made with healthy and circular materials? Wouldn't it be nice if you could just return the products and receive the raw material value back into your bank account? Wouldn't it be nice if every purchase you make stimulates the local economy, creates jobs and fuels innovation? TRIBOO expands its range of circular workstations for the office and home now with the 100% NL, height adjustable ZIT STA workstations completely made in the Netherlands.
One of the most common pieces of furniture that is used extensively every day in our work environment in the office or at home is the height adjustable desk. Alternating between standing and sitting work is healthier than sitting all day. This is common knowledge. What very few people know is what these workstations are made of, where these pieces of furniture are produced and what the impact is on health, CO2 and the environment when we can no longer use them. This is precisely where the 100% NL workstation by TRIBOO stands out from all the desks available in the market. With the #GREENGRIDZ lightweight desk tops, EverUse acoustic desk screens and the sustainable frame, the difference is made.
The 100% NL workspace is a circular product made possible by three Dutch manufacturers joining forces. TRIBOO, EverUse and Voortman combined innovative skills and healthy and circular materials in a spectacular workstation. The workstation is built on an iron frame produced in Purmerend, the desk tops are made in Zevenhuizen and the acoustic insulation incorporated in the desk screens comes from Sneek. All workplaces are made with Dutch brains and hands and are available in a solo and a duo version for the office or home.
#GREENGRIDZ is a healthy and circular furniture construction panel. The lightweight construction consists of a patented GRID system. This makes the panel super stiff, does not warp and is very strong.
The innovative GRID requires between 60 and 90% less raw material, depending on the thickness of the panel, than traditional solid furniture panels such as chipboard, mdf and plywood. The material is no longer needed to make a strong furniture panel. This prevents the use of raw materials, and it doesn't get more sustainable and circular than that.
The CO2 emissions during the production of #GREENGRIDZ are 60% lower than for solid furniture panels. Due to the light weight, 50% more volume can be transported compared to traditional solid panels. This significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The weight per m2 of a 38 mm furniture panel is approximately 18 kg for plywood, 25 kg for chipboard and 8 kg for #GREENGRIDZ.
The GRID system makes the construction panel stronger and stiffer than any solid panel currently available on the market. It does not bend, so that long constructions for furniture and building applications can be constructed easily. In addition, the panel is 100% flat, which means that a perfect finish without any unevenness ensures a sleek appearance.
#GREENGRIDZ contains no toxic substances, is CARB2 certified and biodegradable. This means that it meets the highest requirements when it comes to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde. In addition, the light weight spares the backs of the people making, carrying and assembling furniture and makes many happy faces. The panel can be assembled from various types of cellulose waste streams.
The construction panels can be designed for any application that is required. The shelves, supports, top and bottom plates can be made in different thicknesses, height distances and patterns. Also with improved moisture resistance and fire retardancy. As standard, the #GREENGRIDZ are available in thicknesses from 20 to 200mm and in industrial lengths up to 4010mm. Some examples of #GREENGRIDZ applications are worktops for desks, tables, kitchens, acoustic screens, cabinets, furniture, doors, wall systems, thick floors, signage, kitchens, stands for exhibitions, shop fitting and interior decoration.
The innovative basic material can be made of different materials depending on the application and specifications. This makes it easy to keep up with developments in the market for healthy natural materials and to stay at the forefront of the development of healthy and circular furniture. In #GREENGRIDZ valuable healthy raw materials and CO2 in the form of biomass are safely stored. As furniture, the panels last a long time, but when they are returned for reuse, the construction panel is also a practical logistic carrier for the return logistics to the manufacturer.
The engineers and technicians at #GREENGRIDZ are constantly working on innovations in materials, binding technology and construction. As an adapter, innovative materials can be integrated into the furniture construction panel. Exclusive access to our own recyclable materials and ground-breaking innovations from the market can be adopted flexibly, simply and quickly. Natural cellulose fibres from waste streams form the basis of all developments. The cellulose raw material changes over and over again into a different circular product. A desktop is the raw material for a kitchen, is the raw material for a wall, is the raw material for a cupboard or is the raw material for a desktop again.
EverUse is the circular insulation material made from paper and cardboard waste in the world's first circular insulation factory. Because the circular product is upcycled from waste instead of virgin raw materials, it has a negative CO2 footprint and stores CO2 in the construction in which it is incorporated. The natural cellulose fibres are gentle on the skin and not harmful to the respiratory system. It contains no harmful fibres or toxic substances such as formaldehyde and ink. This makes it possible to create healthy acoustic furniture applications that contribute to a healthy and responsible environment. EverUse is the world's first circular insulation material with Cradle to Cradle certification.
The EverUse® insulation board is sturdy and resilient and forms the basis for the acoustic desk screen. The innovative EverUse recipe is upcycled from waste paper and cardboard. A woolly material is created by shredding these natural cellulose fibres. This material forms the basis for the EverUse circular insulation products. Uniquely, the product insulates both acoustically and thermally, thus solving two problems at once. It is available as a flake, sheet, panel or insulation system. With every EverUse product you buy, you make the waste mountain smaller and the acoustic and thermal comfort in your building and work environment greater.
EverUse makes a valuable contribution to the realisation of acoustic comfort. Absorbing, when it comes to noise nuisance from reflections and reducing the reverberation time. Isolating, when it comes to shielding a room from sound from outside to inside or vice versa. Thanks to its woolly structure and springy mass, sound is very well absorbed at both high and low frequencies. The frequency range where EverUse excels above all other acoustic materials is that of the voice. This is often the cause of nuisance in open-plan offices. With a board of 4cm thickness, the absorption is 100%. Specifications, properties and official tests have been carried out by Cauberg Huygen to substantiate this best in class performance and A rating.
The recipe for EverUse consists of natural cellulose and contains no harmful fibres or toxic substances such as formaldehyde or ink. As the world's first circular insulation material with a Cradle to Cradle certificate, it is our mission to ensure that everyone can build in a healthy and circular way. We produce without waste and prevent reusable raw materials from unintentionally ending up as waste in the incinerator, under the ground or in our oceans. In this way, we prevent damage to our living environment and make an active contribution to reducing environmental pollution, climate change and the depletion of raw material stocks. As a Cradle to Cradle certified material, EverUse also scores highly in the evaluation and certification systems used to determine the sustainability performance of buildings. LEED and BREEAM-NL award credits and points to Cradle to Cradle certified products that have been thoroughly researched and meet very strict requirements in five areas. Safe and healthy use of materials - reuse of materials - renewable energy and CO2 management - improvement of water quality - social aspects. The product must be produced sustainably and be able to be used again as a raw material in a biological or technical cycle.
Your acoustic desk screen as a CO2 storage medium. Because EverUse is incorporated into the construction of the office screen, the cellulose fibres are stored as biomass in the interior. For every kilo of EverUse, 3.7 kilos of CO2 are stored. If we correct for production and logistics in the chain, EverUse has a negative CO2 footprint of -1 kg CO2/kg of product and therefore makes a substantial contribution to the reduction and storage of CO2.
Circular production without waste. EverUse is a material development of 20 years. Designed from the fibre up to be 100% reusable. The circular production facility in Sneek produces without waste, and every insulation board can be completely reused. Even the cutting loss, which is normally a cost factor because waste has to be processed, turns into a value stream in 15 minutes and becomes a profitable circular insulation board again.
