Centuries before the invention of screws, glues and other fasteners, Japanese craftsmen used intricate, interlocking joints to join pieces of wood for structures and beams.
Until recently, these techniques were often carefully guarded secrets of family carpentry guilds and were not available for public knowledge. That is, until a few years ago, when a number of young Dutch people digitised and automated these old techniques. The old craft came back to life in the new age. With a big difference, something that used to take a day to make, we now do in 3 minutes with a precision of 0.1 mm.
Table Cross is available as standard in 40 variations. In addition, there is the possibility of inserting a unique pattern or logo using computer-controlled laser cutting. Thanks to the 0.1 mm precision of our CNC router, the furniture can be slid together and apart in no time at all, without any connectors. No glue (formaldehyde), no screws or nails. The advantages of mass production are thus combined with the personal identity of custom-made furniture. With a minimum of material loss.
Standard conference tables often have long delivery times, sometimes up to 12 weeks. This is different at TRIBOO. Thanks to an extremely LEAN mass production process, we can produce customised products in a very short lead time. This gives our clients flexibility, a wide choice and saves time.
We make high-profile circular products that stay in use as long as possible. All elements of the table are modular. If something does get damaged, we can always re-manufacture the part and send it back to you, ad infinitum.
Know what you are contributing! All delivered components are provided with a material passport. Components can be traced, production and efficiency are fully transparent. The passport is transparent about efficiency, sawdust/waste and residual material. It provides information about the amount of CO2 stored and to what extent the product or project is CO2 negative as a result.
