A circular NOTRASH module contains 9.5 kilograms of high quality recycled plastic fiber, upcycled from 15 kg of plastic waste.
The Dutchman produces an average of 31 kilos of plastic waste each year consisting of about 4,490 pieces. Every day we throw away about 12 pieces of plastic. Of the total amount of discarded plastic, only 15% is recycled. Of the plastic packaging (40 percent of all plastic waste), about half is recycled. The other half is burned for energy production. The plastics that are not packaging are burned by default. As a result, of all the plastic, 60 percent eventually goes into the incinerator. The way we deal with these resources can no longer be tolerated, the disposable society is no longer tenable!
With the NOTRASH, we transform the plastic raw materials that normally end up in landfills and incinerators into functional circular waste separation stations. The high quality raw materials are stored in the modular waste units. The office and building become a healthy bank where our raw materials are safely used and preserved for future generations. When the products are no longer used aesthetically or functionally we turn the same raw material into another high-profile circular product that fits within the identity and business operations of the organization.
You yourself are a part of the change. By getting actively involved and starting to use circular products you accelerate the change to a circular economy and a waste-free society. You reduce waste, reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to stop waste.
To make one NOTRASH module, 15 kg of plastic waste is processed. If you separate the waste into VGF, paper, plastic, remainder and cups you need 5 modules. This means that with each circular waste sorting station 75 kilos of worthless waste is transformed into a valuable circular functional product. 75 kilos that are no longer burned causing CO2, no new raw materials are mined causing CO2.
The module consists of 9.5 kilograms of high quality recycled plastic fibers stored as a valuable raw material. The current raw material value per module is 5.13 euros. If the demand for raw materials increases and with it the price, you will benefit from this just like an investment. Based on supply and demand, the commodity index is adjusted daily, just as we do now with gold and silver.
