GREAT feeling and SUPER compliment to be among the top 50 preservationists in the construction and real estate industry. This makes you BLY :)
Last week the jury deliberations for the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50 took place and the 50 names have been announced. We'll have to wait until the announcement on 10 April to find out exactly what the list looks like, but I can already reveal that you are part of the top 50 sustainable businesses in the construction and real estate sector. Congratulations! I would like to invite you as an exclusive guest of Duurzaam Gebouwd to the Green Tie Gala on Wednesday April 10 in the RAI Amsterdam.
It feels like a great honor that I have been nominated. Over three years ago, I founded my company TRIBOO to deal differently with people and differently with raw materials. My goal was to build a responsible new value chain. A circular supplychain that converts worthless waste into valuable circular office equipment. With my motto: A lot of talk A lot of DOING, we have made a great path so far.
With ups-and-downs I managed to keep my head above water and give substance to circular furnishing projects and build a range of circular products made of natural a plastic waste fibers (raw materials). In 2018, we launched a new circular product every 8 weeks and upcycled 250,000 kg of waste fibers into high-profile circular office furnishings. However, the biggest secret was not the innovative techniques and products, but the circle of friends who, like me, wanted the same thing. To make an impact on an industrial scale and to make the waste-free society a reality.
Last year, I started the company EverUse with my fellow partners. The world's first circular insulation factory. Upcycling paper cardboard waste (cellulose) into a high quality healthy insulation material with a circular business model! From waste costs to raw material value! The highlight the opening by King Willem Alexander.
Both companies are growing and together with our customers we are making progress step by step to use people and resources differently. I have plenty of projects and ideas coming up so keep following us. We have only just started and the road is still long but if we all put our shoulders to the wheel there is nothing a HUMAN can't do.
The ABN AMRO Sustainable 50 is the annual thermometer regarding sustainability in construction and real estate in the Netherlands. The list reflects what has happened over the past year in terms of sustainability in the construction and real estate sector. Each year the expert jury, led by the winner of the previous edition, asks what the main issues and trends are and which people contribute most to them.
Who are the frontrunners, make the difference, set the agenda, work together and bring in creativity and innovation? Who are the people with enough drive, charisma, contacts, knowledge and vision to make the built environment truly sustainable?
A jury assesses four components: contribution to enabling sustainable projects, involvement in sustainable initiatives, active knowledge sharing on sustainability and stimulating and initiating sustainable cooperation. Each nominee receives points for these components. The list, a top 50, is compiled on the basis of the points score.
Each year, the professional jury asks itself what the most important issues and trends are and which people contribute most to them. Who are the frontrunners, make the difference, set the agenda, work together and bring in creativity and innovation? Who are the people with enough drive, charisma, contacts, knowledge and vision to make the built environment truly sustainable?
There are four areas of assessment:
- Contribute to enabling sustainable projects,
- deploy in sustainable initiatives,
- Active knowledge sharing on sustainability and encouraging,
- initiate sustainable cooperation.
Each nominee receives points for these components. Based on the point score, the list, a top 50, is compiled.
