A chair that changes from refrigerator to chair to table is NEVERENDING
The winner of the 3D printed chair made from old refrigerators is known. Renee van den Heuvel from Utrecht proudly accepted her prize last week. Overwhelmed by the many reactions it was quite a task for TRIBOO to choose who would win the chair made of the waste of 2 refrigerators. With her response, this is what it's all about! Not waste but revaluation of old materials!!! 👍🏻 she hit exactly the right chord. Here is what TRIBOO is all about appreciating materials so they never turn into worthless waste again.
Renee van den Heuvel is married for 56 years and mother of 1 son. She works for Movares Netherlands and wants to make the world a little better. After all, we borrow it from Mother Nature and I would like to leave a liveable world for the next generation, says Renee. She likes to do what she can in this area. She is, as she describes herself, a type of don't bullshit but clean up. You can only judge things properly if you try them out. (Smell, feel, taste). Renee hates wasting money, resources and materials and finds it unfortunate that there is always so much talk before decisions are made. Just go and do it. If things go wrong you can always make adjustments and sometimes things fail but then you have learned from it so that is also good. Renee is also Chairman of the Board of www.duurzameleverancier.nl and chairs two project groups within www.GBCU.nl (Zero Waste and Zero Emission).
TRIBOO wishes Renee van den Heuvel lots of fun with her prize. When handing over the chair, it was agreed that if Renee no longer wishes to sit on this chair she will return the chair and TRIBOO will have a circular table made for her from the same raw material.
