A CIRCULAR CHAIR WITH IDENTITY, MADE FROM WASTE AND HIGH-PROFILE APPEARANCE

With every chair put into use, 5.5 kilograms of worthless waste turns into a valuable circular product.

At first glance, nobody would suspect that this chair is made of waste. It is comfortable, looks beautiful and has a natural appearance where the cellulose fibres are clearly visible. But when its story is told, customers and employees alike won't stop talking about it. It is a clear statement in the meeting room about how we should handle our raw materials differently.

WITH 6 CHAIRS YOU TURN 33 KG OF WORTHLESS WASTE INTO 6 VALUABLE CHAIRS

With every chair you put into use, you turn 5.5 pounds of waste into a circular product. No new raw materials have to be extracted from the earth for this. This saves material and CO2 for every circular chair placed in a meeting room or conference room. In this way you make the circular economy and waste-free society visible to everyone in the interior of your office.

HEALTHY CHAIR MADE FROM WASTE IS GREENGUARD GOLD CERTIFIED

The circular chair is Greenguard Gold certified. Products that have achieved GREENGUARD certification have been scientifically proven to meet some of the world's strictest standards for third-party chemical emissions, reducing indoor air pollution and the risk of exposure to chemicals.

Most of the daily exposure to chemicals in humans occurs through the air we breathe in our homes, offices, schools and other indoor environments. These airborne chemicals are commonly referred to as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are used to manufacture and maintain building materials, interior décor, cleaning products and personal care products.

Studies by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other researchers have shown that VOCs are common in indoor environments and that their levels are two to one thousand times higher than outside the office.

There may be anywhere from 50 to 100 individual VOCs in the indoor air at any one time. Some may produce unpleasant odours at low levels, but many have no noticeable odour. Many VOCs are irritants and can cause headaches, eye, nose and throat irritation and dizziness. Long-term exposure to some VOCs can lead to chronic diseases or cancer. At high concentrations, some VOCs are toxic.

The products we use to build and furnish our indoor environments can have a significant impact on indoor air pollution. Products that have achieved GREENGUARD certification have been scientifically proven to meet some of the world's most stringent third-party chemical emission standards, reducing indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure, while helping to create healthier indoor environments.

The GREENGUARD certification programme has established test methods and emission limits for building materials, furniture and upholstery

Construction products and furniture

There are two levels of certification: GREENGUARD Certification and GREENGUARD Gold Certification. All certified products undergo an evaluation of the manufacturing process and routine tests to ensure minimal impact on the indoor environment.

GREENGUARD certification

GREENGUARD Certification emission limits were first used as purchasing specifications for the EPA and Washington State for furniture and commercial building products. GREENGUARD Certification criteria have been the basis for LEED credit for low-emission furniture since 2002. Office furniture products that are GREENGUARD certified also meet the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) X7.1 standard and BIFMA e3 credit 7.6. 1.

GREENGUARD Gold Certification

The GREENGUARD Gold certification standard includes health criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total VOC emission levels to ensure products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. In addition to reducing emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions, GREENGUARD Gold-certified products must also meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Public Health's (CDPH) Standard Method for Testing and Evaluating Volatile Organic Chemical Indoor Sources Using Environmental Rooms, Version 1.2 (2017) " (also known as California Section 01350). Office furniture products that are GREENGUARD Gold

By choosing GREENGUARD-certified products, you will create a healthier indoor environment for your office or institution and reduce exposure to chemicals. GREENGUARD certification standards are among the most stringent in the world, so you can be confident that these certified products live up to their requirements.

GREENGUARD Certification Programme is recognised and referenced in many building programmes, standards and specifications around the world. Products with GREENGUARD Certification or GREENGUARD Gold Certification can contribute to gaining points in established green building rating systems, such as LEED, BREEAM, Fitwel and others, and meet code or regulation criteria and satisfy the specific request for proposal for indoor air quality.
