THE CIRCULAR FANCIES ABOUT NEVERENDING FURNITURE ROOTS AND RUGS

The result of the sustainable collaboration between TRIBOO, Studio Wae and VanHier does not lie. A high-profile circular furnishing concept, the NeverEnding Furniture Roots and Rugs, made locally, from waste. with less material and less CO2 emissions.

ALL THE WAITS IN A ROW:

The 3D printed table base made from local Hemp is bonded with PLA. PLA is the name for thermoplastic polymers made from lactic acid. They are biodegradable, biocompatible and produced from renewable plant resources. It is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics made from petroleum chemicals such as polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene. The base material is 100% reusable.

The base of the table is printed on demand and can be transported to other countries via the digital highway in milliseconds, without using truck, boat or train. This is already possible in the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Abu Dhabi and Australia. More locations will follow.

The innovative #GREENGRIDZ tabletop is made in Zevenhuizen with between 60 and 90% less material and 60% less CO2 emissions than traditional heavy tabletops made of solid chipboard, mdf or plywood. At the end of their useful life, the tops can be returned after which, through a pyrolysis process, active carbon is made from them to fill water and air filters.

The biolaminate is made in the Green Heart and is a 100% natural, thin and thermoformable material. It is applied as a furniture finish with a decorative effect where the fibers remain visible. An important ingredient of the laminate is cellulose from elephant grass. Elephant grass can be harvested every year and stores four times more CO2 per hectare than a hectare of trees.

The modular carpet tiles are made in Bunnik. They are manufactured entirely from production waste, without using new raw materials. The CO2 reduction is 64.6 kilos per m2 and the raw material reuse is 100%. The rugs are made with social impact. In addition, the rug is modular and easy to adjust if the space changes through a unique flexible click system.
