Ard Bardoel founded Ardworks in 2002 to design and produce robust furniture with a sustainable character for in- and outdoors. A man with a passion for traditionally made tables in all shapes and sizes. Standard or custom-made, Ard's designs are developed from sustainability and a love for natural materials. The products are robust and should last a long time without losing quality. I am proud of our speciality tree tables, which last more than a lifetime and are made of CO2. That is Ardworks!

#GREENGRIDZ IS A NICE ROBUST ADDITION BUT LIGHTWEIGHT

I had been looking for something new in the furniture industry for a long time. Something that meets the demands of customers today when it comes to health, responsibility and CO2 reduction. I found that answer when I started working with TRIBOO. I understood what the guys at TRIBOO were doing and I wanted to be part of it. We share the same vision when it comes to responsibility, health of materials and circularity of furniture.

ROBUST #GREENGRIDZ ONLY 10% SOLIDS AT 10 CM THICKNESS

#GREENGRIDZ furniture panels are available from 19 mm to 400 mm thick. To the eye, they appear to be robust solid panels, and the look is brilliant. Only when you lift them does something go wrong in your brain. They are not heavy. So you actually have the best of both worlds. Our customers love it and so do the people who transport and install the tables. Less fuel to transport and better for the backs during lifting and assembly.

What really made the difference for me was the ingenious construction of the panel. What could be more sustainable and circular than simply not using the material. A piece of furniture that looks robust but doesn't weigh a thing! The secret of lightweighting is not to be found with #GREENGRIDZ! By using the patented GRID, the furniture panel consists of at least 60% air. This means that at least 60% less material is used than in a traditional furniture panel made of chipboard or plywood. This means that fewer raw materials are extracted from Mother Earth. The material is simply not needed anymore to make a strong lightweight furniture construction. This avoids the use of materials.
